I like your attitude on the "never hurts to learn" That is a great thought train to have in life. ADF's are hardly used anymore. U may also want to start studying on the WAAS approaches. They will be slowly replacing the ILS system.

GR8 Vid. I flew in the same type of puddle hopper for my merit badge in Tuscon AZ. My friend's dad was partners with 3 others in it. I saw Fremont airport. I use to live in San Jose and I graduated High School in Morgan Hill from Live Oak in '96. Good choice of songs. Did u get to fly the airplane any? The added part of when we got our badges is we went to Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson and got to fly the A-7 simulator.

Yeah, It was me, the instructor, and another guy. I got to go up and fly first, I accualy planned a flight route the day before on a chart and brought it up and the NAV log up with me and i flew about a 40 minutes route, returning to the departure airport which was KFET. The instructor would of let me take off but there was a 15 knot crosswind that day. After he landed we taxied off the runway and backed around and parked off to the side so the other guy could get up front and hew flew it.

Also i got my first flight hour, hopefully ill get more and get my PPL, Its relly expensive though so Ill see how it goes.

U way manna check out sportys pilot shop. Sportys com.. It has all kinds of product for people to purchase and they can study at home in their spare time.What u learn u can practice on FLT SIM X. Its a win win situation.

Yeah, I already know about traffic patterns but i could brush up on instrument navigation on ADF's and VOR tracking and all that, but i may save that for when after i get my PPL and try for my instrument rating. But it never hurts to learn.
