The first installment of a tutorial series, I3east F0rger shows how to set up Battle Tracks spawns.

Text:
First, you need a flat platform to base everything on. The simplest of these is a couple of double blocks. You need to interlock these blocks to create a smooth surface. Next you need the Mongooses. Be sure to place them evenly spaced apart. For this demo, I'm only doing four. Change the gametype to VIP.

You need two VIP spawning points for each of the eight mongooses.

Make sure not to cover up the tips of the spawn points. Press X on each of the spawn points. For the first mongoose, the team is defenders,
the second attackers, the third 3rd team, and so on. You need a safe place for people to REspawn too. To do this, simply make an enclosed area to place spawn points in.

  • Does anyone know what the settings are for race tracks? I made my own track and it sucks. its my first one but when i pass the vip area where we need to go for lap it gives me point then when i go back around it doesent give me another point or it end the game and gives me like 10 points if i make the score to 10 . Please some one help me and thanks you for doing it if you do

  • @saleens66 The destination must move before you get to it again. Set goal movement to 15 seconds.

  • vip wtf? its slayer but no killing

  • @oscarsanders07 "Battle Tracks"

    Custom racing variant. Please read.

  • I learned all this by my own, but great vid.

    Theres lots of shit like:

Checkpoint must have grav lifts and teleporters to PREVENT cheating.

    Game setting on VIP

Making gametype option, checkpoint sequence to have checkpoint reset on each time a person gets to it.

Since I didn't watch the whole video (sorry) it will say or another video by this person some of the necessary things as I mentioned.

    Great tutorial. 5/5

  • I am in the process of making videos for those. And yes, this is very easy to figure out on your own, this video is just to help out forging noobs (yes, they are out there, and they don't even know what a delayed object spawn is) make a racetrack.

  • how do you interlock to make a smooth surface. I tried but I can't seem to get it?

  • >_< I am new to forge and i need some help... I cant make spawn points..... I can only make respawn points.. what should i do?

  • how do you put the block on there mine just fall through

  • how do u put the block on there

  • @345arbiter 2 things: you can pile up objects, put the desired object that you want to use on top, and delete the rest underneath and the object you want floats. Another way is holding the object exactly where you want it in mid-air while in monitor mode, pause, save changes, and then you quit forge. Once you select quit don't move the analog stick and don't press any button until you're in the lobby. When you go to that map again the object will be in mid-air where you wanted it to be.
