  • do not let that cv fool you put a1000 ro 1200 watt 2 box,s at 4 ohm

  • @kearneytyrone : Why would I do that, and lug around two monster heavy boxes, when I could put the same power to the more efficient Tuba 30 cabs, at about half the weight, smaller size, with deeper & more accurate response? The CV cabs are good cabs, but the Tuba 30's are better, louder, go deeper, and weigh a lot less, cost less to build.

  • @sleeperawaken36 ...i remember when i was going to build 2 of these cv 18 cause my bass reflex wasnt enought...lol....so instead i built 2 mogale 18 super scoopers, im not going to lie to you they do sound good- lets say 10+ times btr than my old 18 bass reflex but the problem is that each cab weights about 200 lbs i used 3/4 mdf lol.....im still going to keep my scoopers cause they look nice and killer....but im in the process of Building 2 titan 48's....

  • do you think the old strong Jbl gti 1200 elements will work with the tuba 30? how many db spl? i have two of those..thinking of building two... and how about building horn tops to fit which subs i have..?

  • Very cool design

  • I'm thinking about dropping a set of Yamaha 12's from my old loudspeakers into a set of sub cabinets for either home use or small DJ use, do you recommend purchasing the plans? It will be the first speaker box I've built, so maybe it will be a good learning experience before I go larger scale building.

  • Hey, im really curious about these! I have some questions about these i think you could answer. Ok ..

    1. Do i need a certain type of subwoofer?

    2. About how much did you spend making just the box? like wood, screws and glue.

    3. I plan to buy the plan for my home theater setup. Do i have to have a professional dj amp to power up a little 8" sub? Or could i use any powered subwoofer amp?

    4. Do i need to do any port tuning?

    Thanks!

  • I do highly recommend that you go to Bill's forum, and read up in the Tuba/Titan section for tips, and horn placement. Also, keep in mind that any tiny air leak in the horn will GREATLY reduce performance. It is recommended that when you finish construction, to run a 20 or 30 Hz tone through them at low but sufficient power, so you can find any air leaks, and resolve/fill them before going to full power.

  • thanks for clearing that up
