Fishermans Walk in Southbourne Bournemouth was opened in 1913 by the then Mayor of Bournemouth and was "for the use of the inhabitants of Bournemouth for ever".
Since then the gardens have been preserved for both residents and visitors alike.
The friends of Fishermans Walk was launched in 2006 and consists of local volunteers, who liase with Bournemouth Council to maintain and improve this beautiful open space.
Many events are hosted during the year, and in July 2010 a coveted Green Flag Award was granted.
