Update vlog FTW!!!!!

Here is ze poem!!

PS: I mess up in the first line.... I say "Time" instead of "Type." I would've added an annotation, but it would've ruined my flow, know what I mean? Psh, yeah, you know what I mean.

I am Average

Taste. I want to taste your lips, your skin, not unlike the type I'm sitting in. No, different. Perfect. I see you from across the room, 20 second zoom, I'm flying. It is a little...mystifying-how-I-am-so far yet-so near. I hear. I hear your voice. Those lucid tones drifting ever so pleasantly to my ears. Closing nears. Should I shout? or should I whisper? To try and gain your attention? The man behind the bar is getting closer, I don't know if I can muster that certain kind of decibal laden luster that would gain me that seven digit number. Five minutes now, closing time. I should try to find that song and rhyme that would make you mine, but I can't spit that out at the drop of a hat or on that shiny silver dime. No, I'm average. Not your gangster pimp, or your rock star wimp. I can't hide behind my diamond laced grills or my hundred dollar bills. But, I am average. I'm in the here and the now. I walk amidst a sea of certain types of want to be Jay Z's and sorta kinda MC's. But that's just not me. Time's up. Last call came and went, now that my money's all spent, I've become unkempt. I watch her rise, the folds of her dress smoothed down over those thighs. Hips that sway as she walks away, thats it. I couldn't get around to saying shit. It's done. That romance story is a bit cliché, I'll walk around the parking lot, not much to say and yet I'll stay. I'll stay in this mind frame, this hopeless romantic phase. I'll keep that chin up and keep those ears clean until I can find that one female that I can say those words to and really mean-something to. Tonights over. I wait outside that bar until that yellow check marked taxi kind of car takes me home to an insomniac "sleep" in a bed all alone. But that's fine. Tonight was average. It happens all the time not to me but to We. Yes, we are collectively average. But, tonight is over. Another attempt done, tomorrow will bring a brand new sun and I'll relish in the fact that like so many other of them matter-of-fact Jack's....I am average.

  • that poem was amazing!!!!!!

  • I like the part about the ducks.

  • Wow, I didn't expect it to be that good... but it was. :) It really caught me in the beginning and I coudn't stop listening. I really like it. :D

  • I love the rythm in the way you write poetry...I noticed in I Want as well, it's a certain style you have that's really unique I like it! I'm probably not one to judge but if you do want to do this for a living the whole unique style thing will probably count in your favor! And I also really like the way you read it out loud

Wow that's a lot of books! though 300 pages of a novel I don't think is as bad as 400 pages of say.. Homer or Dante.. like what they give us at my high school :/

  • No energy November sounds like an awesome idea... except for the fact I'm kind of afraid of the dark. =)

I loved the poem! I especially like the: "I watch her rise, the folds of her dress smoothed down over those thighs. Hips that sway as she walks away, thats it."

They always sound pretty awesome, this one was defidently no exception.

Have you tried to convert your poems to songs[ with guitar also] lately?

    those always sounded pretty great.
