Basically, this thing is just a sophisticated controller. It does not do much a workstation synth can already do such as call up loops, trigger arps, etc. Some synths in the past even had breath controllers.

It's keys light up, seem to be pretty expressive, and you can get out from behind the keyboard.

It does not make sound at all. It's a controller, and you need a mac computer connected to make the sounds.

I find it interesting, but maybe not as innovative as it may first seem to be.

This looks a fantastic instrument. Does anyone know where the audio signal is output from? Does it mean amplifying the lineout from the computer?

i thought it was funny that they had notecards. If you're headlining a new and exciting product, and you're the spokesperson, you should be able to rattle off the specs no problem. I understand that there is a lot that they do want to talk about, so they don't want to forget, but it still made me smile.

This is a totally necessary instrument in today's digital age... I mean, think about it! Most music is digitalized, run through LOADS of filters, and even played while the stars dance around stage, PRETENDING to sing live. The few "live" musicians in the band are out of the loop, and ALSO pretending. At least this instrument gives REAL musicians a fighting chance!!!

It's going to take something very special to launch this as a credible instrument with that price tag.

In 1982 (Synthaxe I'm looking at you) you might have stood a chance, but using the technology available today this is all too easy to make at home.

In fact I probably have enough microcontrollers and sensors in the basement right now...

Let me have a look.

This is brilliant. It's a full DAW... I'm absolutely amazed. Too bad these are almost $6000.
