@mishmoshable its not part of the song but i think sting does it during live shows, he did it a lot during the rock and roll hall of fame concert this year

I am getting a new bass and it's going to have to last me a while. I really want a fretless but my main worry is that it won't be as versatile as a fretted bass. Should I go for it or not?

It´s more difficult to play because of the intonation, but if you want a fretless..you should buy one! Try it in a shop before you buy it. I think that the "Tony Franklin signature series by Fender" is a very good one. Good luck !!

Thanks a lot !! The bass is a Cort B4FL; active Bartolini pickups, Hi-Mid-Low tone controls and pickup selector.
I´m using Fender flatwound strings.
