Great riff. After a few runs, I was thinkin..How can this not get boring? So he whips out the envelope filter a plays slap on the guitar. Why did I ever doubt in the first place? Is that an octave effect with the autowah/filter during the solo? sounds hellafat.

@bitchslapper12 yea! or another title of it is Gory Head Stump - Pageant of Slunk 2006. correct me if i'm wrong

I AM AMAZED!! I played the masquerade before! PunkFest. Played Bass for an Emo Band and Guitar for a Metal Band. I was in Heaven and Hell the same day. Pretty good for a guy from Tennessee! I can't believe Me and Bucket played the same stage!

One of the most unique solos ive seen.

He's slapping the strings, like you do on, let's say a funk bass while muting the strings coupled with the envelope filter.

and what about the scratch like effect at 3:40 and after ? how the fuck he does that ?
-
Using an synth type guitar pedal that emulates analog synths, such as a Electro Harmonix Micro Synth pedal.

It is made by the line 6 FM4. The setting is "growler". Look up oakridge cake live, and he uses it for the whole song

Thanks..
This is "hook and pole gang" not "Gory head stump"!!!

While you are right about the name, I believe that it's a matter or preference. "Hook and pole gang" was the original song, he later re released it with an extended solo calling it "Gory Head Stump 2006: The Pageant of the Slunks." So since it's the most recent release of the song i decided to name it this.
Don't believe me? Look it up
