  • it just doesn't catch the light the way the ones on either side of it do... or even the laminated paper menu does. But... it's a big step in the right direction, and hopefully they'll work it out in later models.

  • The lights were same or similar condition. I'd like to say there were no discrimination, honestly!

  • It's nice that FLEPia comes in color, but the awful lag time, the nasty glare on the screen, and low contrast really destroys the prospects of its color appeal...

  • wait till they get cheap

  • The slowness of this device would so piss me off :)

  • is thi electronic ink?, or just a regular display?

  • bad contrast. I'll wait a year or so for better contrast color screens if they will come that fast. :)

  • Agreed. 5-second refresh rate doesn't quite make up for the battery life, for me at least. For that price tag I'd want to see at least 24 fps. Also, i think that contrast depends mostly on the quality and incidence of light...... not sure though -_-

  • I think they have to work on the contrast and refresh rate. But there is a lot of potential here. The bi-stable display does not require power to retain a screen image; Like E-ink.

  • It is pretty obvious Fujitsu created this e-reader to demo the technology. Considering it is only on sale in Japan at over $1500 it is obviously not ready for the mass market. Once costs are lowered, surely color e-readers will have a bigger uptake than black and white.

  • What is the price of FLEPia and iRex iLiad ?
