Looking upon the wonderful success of the rocket engine/book combo, we decided that with the other explosives we had we would demonstrate the waterproof fuse to Scotty.

Now normally when you put one of these dynamites in a glass, it simply explodes and the glass is fine. But when water is added to the equation...

Unfortunately, we learned about the Dampening Effect the hard way.

  • Ed is brilliant. "Am i gonna get wet?" - a little. Amazing

  • For all of you wondering what the "damping" or "dampening" effect is, there was an episode of Future Weapons that explains it. An explosive in the air will not transfer nearly as much force as one immersed in a liquid medium. That is how a tiny firecracker can break not only a glass, but an entire table in half.
