Slint are the Francisco Cabrera of rock bands. A fairly undistinguished group that nonetheless produced one truly spectacular and unlikely hit

A few years back I was tripping balls on mushrooms and a friend of mine let me listen to this song while laying in the middle of a field and it about ripped my mind in two!! There were all these extra voices from auditory hallucination, but It was awesome, one of the most powerful things I'd ever heard.

@Joris85 But I understand what you mean, it's an atmospheric experience.
-
@Joris85 To answer your question, because jumping and shouting is so much more fun in massive crowds with live music playing.
-
@Uzzie101 If you're going to jump and dance, then why go to the show? You can jump and dance at home, for a lot less money.
I've seen and heard Slint play and it's magic. You don't need to do anything but look and listen. That's what's it about. (and I know this video makes it seem like a boring thing, but when you're actually there, it's totally different, or at least it was for me)

@perpitbla5 I don't understand then? If you're going to stand aside quietly and listen to the music then why go to the show? You can sit quietly and listen to the music at home, for a lot less money.

I miss you. Not in a Slint way, but I miss you.

WOW they sound great live

@perpitbla5 for me, it depends on the type of music really. here you would stand staring, unmoving and let the wall of sound hit you like a ton of bricks. If it was say bad brains or something, i wouldn't be able to help but move around.
So a band and crowd have to go nuts to show they're 'into it'? Utter bollocks. Even if the band are pretty static, their performance is great, and every time I go to a gig, I refrain from 'going nuts', but I still appreciate and enjoy it.
