too many quotes would come to mind in defense of this but if yr already squabbling as you are there's no reason to bring them about. i just don't know why everyone is always soo bothered and upset. this looks fun and don't you wish you were the one who went out with a camera and actually did something? made it tangible? yes you surely do

why's everyone so uptight?
apparently we're not allowed to be influenced anymore. all the best directors appropriate their icons to make their work, even if it's just the way the camera moves and sways; but often they'll take it to a completely different subject matter, so it's more discrete. in this it's just a bit easier to see the connection and for that you hate it.
