@gwho: I just found out I HAVE a bulged discs and I'm 26!! I'm not sure WHAT happened to cause it...unless it was the time I slipped off the wooden ramp and landed on my rear end on concrete floor. Boy that hurt. But I've had lower back aches since I was a teen...My left leg and foot are swelled and so is my right one and I have trouble walking. What should I do? What happens when you get surgery on it? Because the pain I have is awfull.
percentages are what doctors use when they know it's not a cure.
medications usually are in the form of NSAIDS, which prevent inflammation, the actual natural mechanism your body uses to restore ligaments tendons and cartilage.
injections, if it is not a prolifative PROinflammatory, are usually epidural and cortisone. cortisone is detrimental to cartilage and collagen and is proven to destroy it even faster, and synnergistically faster when combined with exercise.
