@lesshowerrings Playing familiar material in a demo will give the listener some references .. thats why.
-
Why am I not surprised you played GnR?

Ive finally bought the 2266 head, but as Im a new to tube amps, Im a bit worried. Is it normal in it to have that buzz in the standby mode, when the tubes are warming up? After they warm up completely, the amp runs like a clock without buzz. Some say it might be transformator. Did you have any buzz while warming up?

@gtrmanno haha, so it's a great riff to begin a kick ass rock song
-
@lesshowerrings Hater. Let's hear your riffs and songs that sound better than GnR. Or any band that is current at the moment.

where was the master volume? how does it sound at low volume?

I have a 2466 and love this sound....settings please?

That's a sick axe you got there. I love the alpine white customs. Wish I could afford one, and a vintage modern with a 4x12 cab too haha.

Paul gilbert sure makes this amp sound like metal :P But then again he has a ton of pedals to boost :P

@anttown4ever Pedals yes but he is able to get the basic tone without them. It's all in the hands !! (and his guitar)

love the VM. the VM is probably the only "modern" marshall that doesn't sound shouty and boxy to me (like the DSLs and JVM...not to mention the MA's and Haze)
