Published data demonstrates that cannabinoids possess strong antibacterial properties. In 2008, investigators at Italy's Universita del Piemonte Orientale and Britain's University of London, School of Pharmacy assessed the germ-fighting properties of five separate cannabinoids against various strains of multidrug-resistant bacteria, including MRSA. They reported that all of the compounds tested showed "potent antibacterial activity," and that cannabinoids were "exceptional" at halting the spread of MRSA.[2]

Prohibition...goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded. -- Abraham Lincoln December 1840

  • @Edelwulf So scary how people are getting this and often cannot pin point how. I hope you try some of natures medicine and see if it helps. These studies suggest it will. I read a study that said doctors ties, and the badges you all have to wear end up with more germs than your hands and clothing. It must be frustrating to take all those precautions and still have this happen.

  • @NC420Reform -- Thanks. The doctors say our strain is probably CA-MRSA (Community Acquired) -- I have worked in health care since 1995, but exercised strict universal precautions. Even so far as undonning either at the hospital, or right inside the door at home, bagging my clothing and taking it STRAIGHT to the washing machine. Bleaching, etc. Hard to say where exactly ours came from. But looking at the numbers of new cases daily, and the explosion of this disease is frightening.

  • @Edelwulf I am so sorry you are all going through this. I pray and hope you are in a state that will allow you to use marijuana to help fight this infection.

  • No, they're going to let this disease get out of hand, and kill a bunch of people first. They might spend billions of dollars and find a way to synthesize the cannabinoids because they don't want you to feel good for a while. This rant is directed to those ignorant states that have denied passage of medical marijuana laws, or have not de-criminalized it yet. EVERYONE in my immediate family has MRSA. It snuck up on us. It's like that. We aren't dirty people.

  • @winstonmatthews when indeed! soon I hope...this war on drugs has been a massive waste of time, money and resources!

  • When will they listen to the most useful teaching plant in the world?
