Lots of wild accusations but no proof. I guess the growing demand for power will have to wait. I hear of all the ailments caused by the 'pollution' from power plants but I have not seen one specific case. We have had 2 coal fired plants for 40 years and no one can link one ailment to this. It is only assumptions. I am not saying there has not been any ailments, its just that I hear all the accusations but have not heard of one specific case. Throw climate change out the window, earth is cooling.

Desert Rock shouldn't be built my grandmother Alice Gilmore owns the land that Sith Global is trying to bulid this new power plant on!! The navajo nation doesn't need another pollution causeing power plant on our land!!
Joe Shirley doesn't know what the navajo people need he's never really lived like us. he lives like a rich white person that shouldn't be our president!!! i would like to thank my Grndmother who opposes this and for all her strength!! native women stay strong!!

Desert Rock Power Plant is a Money Maker for the Rich.......The land must be respected and protected for future Navajo generations.

what a douche bag to start off the argument. Better life for native people? to work at the mines? hell no, majority of the Navajo people are leaning towards the medical, science, and engineering fields. The mines aren't an attractive source for work. I don't hear kids saying "I want to grow up working in a mine."

More devastation for Earth Mother. Where are the Navajo people? This is my home, where do I go when this coal-fired plant is built? Where do the animals, plants, and rocks go? Are they not important? Who wil speak for them? Indigenous People of the world need to address this, change our way of thinking. We are no longer the colonized people, we have a voice at the United Nation level, worldwide.
