Scouting and Approaching Bala Mill Falls. About 6 months ago I attempted to run this having only scouted the end bit in detail, and having pretty much no plan for the rest of it, and messed up bad in a boulder field.

So this time, I studied it in excruciating detail, also looking at where I messed up. This time I ran it successfully, only made 1 mistake in missing the hard left route in "Section 2".

It's interesting to see how different things look from the different viewpoints. For instance, the eddy on river right immediately above the falls couldn't be seen from the bank on the right hand side - and was only apparent when scouting from the left before taking on the final run.
