Jaycee Dugard 6-minute mini-documentary. In 1995, my production partner Sue Smith and I produced this video in partnership with the Voyagers Group of Washington D.C. In cooperation with Terry & Carl Probyn, and in partnership with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Television, we used Jaycee's story to produce a pilot episode for the series titled "Stolen Lives" that we hoped the network and cable stations would pick up and air when a child went missing.

This was four years after Jaycee was abducted but Terry was holding strong, hanging on to the hope that some day she would find her daughter. 14 years later, On August 26, 2009, the miracle happened, Jaycee was found. And we have no doubt that Terry NEVER gave up the hope that she would one day find her daughter. A mother's love knows no bounds.

Though the circumstances under which Jaycee lived for 18 years during her abduction are abhorrent, and there is much healing that needs to happen, her return to her family is something to be celebrated. It re-affirms our belief in faith and hope and that miracles are possible.

We wish Terry, Jaycee and their entire family all the best as they begin their journey together once again.

  • I am so happy for this family.

I really hope all those who made accusaations against the Step-Father give him apologies and restore to him all they stole.

Very sad situation but all can be restored.

  • It's surreal to think that around the time this was shot, Jaycee was not only alive but having her abductor's baby.

  • @Jeff98177 i know, how do those girls feel? i mean they were only born because of the crime yet they are just as much victims. that terrible man IS their dad. everyone is so careful not to blame them and stuff but they are going to have such awful self esteem issues, if they don't already....even worse than their mother.

  • I could never go that long without my parents that is just so sad

  • @Jeff98177 what a strange pervy thing to say

  • @123Tallie123 I agree but the step father still looks pervy to me!

  • What is the URL I'm on my iPod so I don't c it

  • I am so glad that she was found safe, and returned to the mother who never gave up. It's so awful that this family had to go through this.

  • @avrilrockz5 Would you know what to do if you were kidnapped at 11 & being told he'll kill you & you believe him because your so young you dont know kidnappers say whatever to protect themselves. Brainwashed, Raped, kept in a little sound proof storage in the backyard all by yourself, handcuffed? handcuffed to a bed and raped repeatedly! Not knowing what is going on because you were kidnapped so young you didnt know what rape meant yet. and you blame this poor girl? You've got to be kidding me.

  • @avrilrockz5 I hope you get the chance to experience this someday and he how well you do. And then people can make fucked up comments like this one about you.

  • @avrilrockz5 you shouldnt blame Jaycee for missing for so long. this guy threatened her and later her children if they escaped. especially since after spending a year in that shed, she later grew attached to her abductor since he provided her with food and shelter. you should never blame abducted children.

  • @fatsotomuscles Leave puppies and kitties out of this!
