Celebrity Rehab with Dr.Drew is doing more Harm then Good

Dr.Drew really helping these B List Celebrity's or is he just doing more Damage? First Mike Starr now Jeff Conaway, Any bets on who from that reality Series is going to O.D and Die next?

I disagree that it's doing more harm than good. I do believe that after care is vital for the success of drug rehabilitation. Wihout adequate support, addicts are bound to fail. I remember watching the show and seeing that they offered further support in another sober living home once they were done there and some people would choose not to go. I don't know if this was something Starr went to or not, but I think that success heavily depends on having support friends, family and physicians.

Honestly i dont think its doing more bad than good, but i think going through treatment on television isnt as sufficient as doing it off camera. Recovery has a low success rate, thats not because it doesnt work (it never fails, it WILL work if you work it and do exactly what they tell you to)The reason 2 ppl have died after CR, imo, is first because they were at rockbottom to begin w/ when show started, and 2, the pressure that everyone knows you got sober n the guilt from it when they relapse.

@Frieza1500 Drugs initially are a choice, but once you're hooked it's not longer a choice. You really think someone would chose to live that way? Dr. Drew should have never denied Mike Starr his Suboxone, THAT is why he died, the Suboxone could have saved his life.

Drugs are a choice. I sincerely believe he is helping and when people relapse it is their own fault not his

@williams6480 i agree, cause if people think that real rehab isnt like this there trippin i mean yeah they dont have cameras in there faces all the time, but its still just as hard, my mom is a recovering crack addict and i know how hard it is for people to stop

jeff was gonna die soon anyway, with or without the show, same with mike.  the next to go will be tom sizemore and steven adler
