Bun thit nuong cha gio IS the most popular Vietnamese dish in US (among health conscious Caucasian). Others think it is too healthful to eat since it's not deep fired.

Two spring rolls (some call it RAW egg roll, LOL) as appetizer then a bowl of bun is the ultimate lunch for less than $10. Try it at Kim Tai on the NW corner of Fannin and McGowen in Houston. I always order it with grilled beef instead of pork. You'll love it.
