These before and after photographs of a California friendly woodland style front yard setting went from same-old lawn and tree to raised planter areas and low water color. The latest set of pictures were taken in 2009, two years after installation. What a wonderful transformation.

Just awesome... I especially love those tall purple fountain grasses and the moss among the stones. I wish more people were brave enough to do this.

I like to grow wild gourds, they kill out weeds and grasses, and yet do not get tall so no mowing is needed, plus the leaves make bug repellent for your plants, here in Nebraska where water has went from $2 a month to now over $60 a month in 30 years only rain barrels are used outside.
