Photographers Rights And The Law In The UK - A brief guide for street photographers.

Know your rights when you're out with your camera.

Despite the law being clear on a citizen's rights to freely take pictures in public places (with a few restrictions) there is growing evidence of the police, police community support officers (PCSOs), security guards and general jobsworths failing to respect the rights of photographers going about their lawful business.

  • yeah i remember when i saw this vid a while back, making the law up as you go along hehe. 5*

Interestingly the new terrorism act making it illegal to film the police now, then surely it would have been illegal to film the police killing the man in the G20 summit in London, and forcing the coroner report to be changed a a number of times because of the increasing evidence that the police played a direct hand in the mans death! Hmmm double standards at its finest.

  • Yup, we need to film them what if they are beating someone on the street... or killing the guy at G20

if we didnt have the evidence to prove it they would get away with murder.

oh yeah "police" it doesnt help when you lie about how he die and what from.

Talk about loosing all credit, how can we trust people like that who are there to protect us.

  • really good vid.

I'm off to meet my MP in about 10 mins. Going to tell them how i feel about things. Show them the writing on the wall and all that.

  • Gd stuff!

thats what i like to see!

  • its great the way they expect the public to be on camera with road wars etc... and yet when the tables are turned they dont like it... they go around sayin its a public place they can film what they want but when we film them its put that away

  • How do they have a right? Or do People just say it? Can you do anything you want to cops?

  • fucking pigs

  • Aint you got anything better to do you sad cunts.

  • You go up to a random person in the street and start filming them, chances are they're going to stop you. I know a few folk that really loose their temper when random people have stuck a camera in their face.

You walk in to the center of your town with a loud speaker, you're also going to get asked a few questions.

Act like a twat and then play the victim when people call you up on it.. Alex Jones does the exact same thing selling his conspiracy theories to Americans lol

    Nice one

  • 7:25 OWNED! hahaha :D

  • I hope that WPC in the second clip was merely training. Because if she is fully trained then God help us. She repeats what the male officer says and even his actions when getting the radio out.

  • have they started importing Chinese police now? Nothing would fucking surprise me these days

Lets all film these people on our camera phones next time we see them
