@BasementFinishingMan Ahh very correct on that part, I agree! If its uneven, you woudl just shoot yourself in the foot trying to pre-frame it only to find out one side is 1/2" lower then the other. Good call!

Hmm, if you know you are going to be adding in the cutouts, why not frame in the header and footers while the wall is layed out on the ground, then roll it up all as one? Saves having to get fancy with a saw down there ;)

@WowMike2002 Just me... it's faster this way. I've done it hundreds of times. Plus if the floor is uneven you will need to level your framing for the header anyway. If I was framing on a flat level plywood surface ...like a 1st or second floor project I would complete the framing before standing-up the wall. But, the basement is an uneven environment and doing it my way save time in the long run.
