We bailed out the economy, sure, AFTER THE OPPOSITION FORCED HARPER TO BECAUSE HE WAS DENYING THE EXISTENCE OF THE RECESSION, and we were in a deficit even before that. If you want to say fiscal conservatism is a good thing in principle I agree with you (not cutting healthcare or education, though, among other things) but HARPER IS NOT A FISCAL CONSERVATIVE.
