diss Dr. Ramachandran is like dissing Einstein or Newton in physics. Only less intelligent stupid idiots would try to discredit this man.. good luck with that :)

@ Dicktator - VS Ramachandran is one of the most widely respected neuroscientists in the world. He pioneered the mirror box which has helped alleviate pain for amputees. His research changed the field of neuroscience and neurology forever. He is not just a "Dr" and he is not crazy. You have epilepsy in your temporal lobes, you dont experience this. What those two statements do not mean is that this isnt a real consequence of temporal lobe epilepsy.

@Dicktator24 This doctor is not a theist, in fact his findings suggest the religious experience is nothing but a quirk of the brain. And not all temporal lobe epileptics have the same experience. Stop being so rigid.

@Dicktator24 I dont think you watched the video verry well, they never say god excists. Further more Ramachandran is one of the most respect neurologists in the world.

i have TLE but dont have these kind of symptoms all that happens to me is déjà vu and olfactory hallucinations

I also have temporal lobe epilepsy and i can tell you, that you dont feel anything like that because you never remeber what happened (friends can tell you and its nothing spiritual) . This indian doctor is just as crazy as his patient ! The best doctors for epilepsy will tell you the same!! Just poor how some people try to prove the existence of god, god was invented by humans to explain what they were not able to explain. Grow up !

@samann95014 Exactly.... amanita is a etheogen like datura, ayuscha (sp?), peyote,belladona etc. makes you see gods, angels, demons, heaven hell etc.

@skingbinsane I agree.. it appears that we have an individual who's mind is involuntarily triggering the chemicals that allows him to experience an ascension, if you will, without adequately having acquired certain degrees of knowledge or mastership over the lower self.
