  • Supermarkets should stop paying people to collect the carts. Then we'll see if people change their minds when they try to park in a lot filled with carts.

That sounds kinda fun actually. It would be a bit like driving through an asteroid field. ^^

Though, perhaps those cart collectors should instead be hired to enforce people to put their carts back. They would be the Lot Police, equiped with tasers, driving around on quads and using radios to call for back-up if people become unruly. ^^

  • @KaptenN Stores like Aldi's do a good job by using a locking device that requires to to insert a quarter to borrow the cart. When you lock it back in place with the other carts, you get your quarter back. It's amazing how much more courteous people can be if they know their laziness will cost them 25 cents of their own money.

  • you've kind of made me appreciate people more, before I started watching your videos, I would always choose the lazy way out and just leave the carts in the street or leave some type of item from the supermarket in wherever is closer to me rather than returning it to where it was. But after the videos you've made about things like this, I've stopped doing those sort of stuff.

  • @NeverlandAud That's great to hear. A little extra effort really can go a long way to making other people's lives vetter.

  • Hey GI, I just got to say my father has a firm belief that he must leave the carts in the lot in any manner he is compelled to leave them. If he is with me and I put the cart away he raises so much hell about it that I have to go get the cart out of the corral and leave it in the lot just to shut him up LOL. It seems to physically hurt him to see people do little things that help others.

  • @larsonb33 Wow- now THAT is something else...

  • I pushed carts, once upon a time. It was tedious, and the stray carts could provide trivial entertainment if you try to get them in the corrals from across the parking lot bowling-style. What annoyed me was when fat people would perch and wait (sometimes for six or seven minutes) to get a parking space that was only a few feet closer. If you want to take every measure to avoid even the slightest exercise, that fine. Just don't loiter in my path to do it. And have some respect for yourself.

  • Automatic-Like for what u said about shopping carts. As a former cart-pusher, I hated it when dumbasses left their carts in the middle of the lot like they did.

  • @GrapplingIgnorance Wait what? Doesn't all stores do that in America? I don't know a single store in Sweden that have carts which doesn't require a 5 or 10 SEK coin to unlock. O.o

And just like you said the coin is returned when the cart is locked again. There are special keyrings made of plastic or metal which can be used instead of a coin, but you still wouldn't leave that in the cart.

  • It Grinds my Gears when people don't give credit (or blame) where it's due. For example, this one guy claimed that Obama shouldn't get any credit for killing Bin Laden because it was solders under him that physically killed Bin Laden. He also claimed that the deficit, a result of the Bush Tax cuts, were somehow Obama's fault. I almost lost it completely when he claimed that the Europeans who went to North America and treated the natives horribly were mostly Jewish. It's a real test of my sanity.

  • It grinds my gears when youtube videos start out with an overly self-ass-kissing intro that makes up more than a quarter of the entire video length, and involves displaying text and giving me ten times the necessary time to read it.

  • @tremedar I AM mad! lol
