This is my favorite clip from my family's second trip to Alaska back in 2004. My family and I had just finished having dinner with a relative in Kodiak, Alaska and we decided to drive around to look for wildlife before going back to our motel. Just as we were about to give up, we heard someone behind us screaming "A Bear!". We immediately stopped, got out, and walked back to the spot where the tourists were looking. The telephoto feature on my camcorder was able to get very close to the bear without jepardizing our safety. I estimated that the bear was about 250 feet away from the crowd. The bear could be a young male bear since it isn't very big and fat and no cubs tagging along. The bear was looking for salmon in the creek, but it had an unfruitful search and moved on. This is the best wildlife shot I've taken so far. Enjoy! (Note: Comments are by-approval only. Any spam "comments" (i.e. web site promotion) will be removed.)
