@Nagneto unless that "80s were the pinnacle of special effects" thing is just some bullshit that you copy and paste on every horror-related youtube video, no, this movie is not the pinnacle of special effects. part of the reason this movie was so panned is because the effects ARE so awful in it. every single thing on the set wobbles and jiggles unconvincingly and makes the whole movie seem pathetic. i hope people like you don't represent the new generation of horror fans

Man....this movie..such a MASTERPIECE!

@daciaQAF90 I agree! The remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street didn't follow the original storyline, which pissed me off. I'm not exactly happy that there will be a remake of Hellraiser coming out in 2012, but I'll watch it and see what I think. I'm just hoping they don't fuck it up too much!

@MadHatterRules If they got the right director and don't f**k it all up, a remake might be good, but you can never replace the old actors (they were/are just to awesome, to bad they're to old now)

They should do a remake of them all and get them to the big screen once again :D

"And you wanted to know. Now you know!"

Time to play
The 80's were the pinnacle of special effects before all this shitty CGI garbage.

Remake??
I'm sorry. It just doesn't work here. First off, the problem with a remake of THIS movie, like with Halloween, is that the originals set a standard that has been copied time and again.
Some people might think CGI will make this movie better, but I differ. The last few remakes I've watched play more as sequels than "new takes on an old story". Yes, it may have Barker behind it,which might work for the story, but it will never capture the magic of the originals.
