Modot Minute December 13, 2011

Many parts of the state have experienced the first snow of the season, prompting MoDOT to remind travelers that road condition information is easy to access by using its online Traveler Information Map. Located at www.modot.org, the map gives drivers an up-to-the-minute view of road conditions for state highways and interstates. Motorists can also get information by calling MoDOT's toll-free hotline at 1-888-275-6636. In addition, MoDOT uses Facebook and Twitter to provide weather-related information and tips.
Be sure to check out the "Focus on the Road MO" fan page on Facebook on Dec. 20 to find out who won the Ford Focus given away as part of the "Focus on the Road" distracted driving campaign. The campaign was sponsored by the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety, KRCG-TV and Joe Machens Ford.
