My friend I was not speaking about pitbull history, every dog has his own history and nobody is discussing this. The sense of my sentence was that nor Dogo Argentino nor American Pitbull Terrier have been used for breed re-building...and if someone did this it's a great fault. Presa has a very different and fearless temperament, no excessive aggressivity, a Presa Canario is a dog you can trust :-) Simply this

@typhoon1978 Presa Canario having a great history dont mean jack pits also has a great history as a matter of fact pits has the best history

@TheCaneCorso ahahahahha what are you saying ??? Please... Dogo ? Pitbull ?
Presa Canario has a great history and origins, history speaks about these dogs in 1500 yet... The main races are Mastiff, English Bulldog (and not the actual but probably something very near the actual old english bulldog), Great Dane, Majorero, Bull Mastiff...

With one is better will depand what one is loking for in a dog and guard dog to say with one is better. For certain Majorero is interesting breed. But I can not say more than I've read as I didn't have opportunity to met this dogs.

Majorero is a dog whos origins come from Fuerteventura. Is a cattle dog and great guardian. Presa Canario descendents from presa dogs that came to the Islands with Spaniards during the conquest. Than this dogs stayd and mixed with local dogs, also Majoreros. Canaries had contacts with Britain and it could happen that British dogs where brought to Canaries and mixed with "presas" but also presas from Canaries were probable taken to Britain.

The truth is that many times Britis people imported dogs from Spain to improve their breeds
