Brother Jed has been on college campuses for many years. This video comes as a result of his visit to Texas Tech University in the spring of 2011. As usual he and his group spent much time condemning everyone to hell. Repent and Trust Ministries HAS NO PROBLEM with the wrath of God and His eternal judgment of hell. However, we do take issue with people that merely condemn without giving the Good News of the Gospel.....as is what happened when Bro. Jed and friends came to Tech.
In this clip Dorothy took the opportunity of a break in the "thrashing" to deliver the Good News that Jesus died to pay the fine for all of our sins and then three days later rose from the dead in order to provide peace and reconciliation with God the Father. She urged the crowd to Repent and Trust in Jesus Christ alone and turn away from their sins.
At the end of the clip the girl told Dorothy she was a "true Christian".

  • Good movie. God bless..

  • Haha, crazy people!

  • Personally I commend this Lady for stepping up and doing the right thing. Contrary to what many here have said, she did not lead them astray. She told them the Gospel truth.

I just spoke to you exactly what Acts 2:38 says, and I don't believe in baptismal regeneration either--but there are good arguments for it.... even Paul was "still in his sins until after he was baptized.

I never said it couldn't cover all sins, but 1 John 1:9 is aimed towards Christians-His blood can cover your sins if you confess as a believer(1 John 2:1-2) for He is our advocate. I just said He doesn't "auto-cover" sins for your future as a believer. Go read 1 John please.

  • @droptozro If you say that the blood of Jesus Christ doesn't cover all sin, then you have belittled the cross of Christ and what was accomplished there. How many Christians do you know that are continuing in sin? What is sin? How many Christians are going to churches and being taught error... how many are truly saved...??? how many have been truly delivered? The church is a harlot and has left the Lord just like Israel. Baptism does not save you either, another false doctrine..

  • @cieluore

Repentance doesn't get you saved, it's a part of the process---repent and be baptized for the remission of sins(Acts 2:38 aimed towards the Jews). I belittle nothing, that's a straw-man... I believe God is just and faithful, if you continue in sin(even as a professing believer)--you will die spiritually. When one sins as a believer or non-believer, they put themselves in danger of the judgment. There's not one verse that says future sins are auto covered, 2 Peter 1:9--past sins

  • @cieluore

I agree with the first phrase-exactly true, if you continue to confess Him, if you deny Him He will deny you---this is the consistency of all Scripture and God's conditions on man's obedience(2 Tim 2:12). But this isn't a 1 time thing, this is a consistent thing through one's life of a believer.

I don't forget the work, I just don't impose the work on future sins automatically being "auto-covered" without forsaking them.1 John 1:9 says you must confess it and He will cleanse you.

  • @droptozro If you are saying the blood of Jesus MAY cover the sin of disobedience, then you are belittling the cross and what it accomplished. This is atypical of many Christians: forgetting the work that was done for us. Do you really think that we are saved by works? Do you think your repentance is what got you saved? That is not scriptural. Your confession before mankind is what got you saved, and nothing more. I repeat, you have belittled the cross of Christ. It covers ALL SIN.

  • @cieluore

His blood MAY cover the sin of disobedience-if you repent. If you continue in disobedience, you never even knew Jesus(1 John 2, 1 John 3). If you continue in disobedience later on, then you are separating yourself from the vine by not abiding in Him. Jesus said you must repent or you'll all perish. True belief will result in a true godly repentance though--I agree with that. Most think they have belief, but just like James rebukes them--it won't save, it's a dead faith. God bless

  • If you confess Jesus Christ YOU ARE SAVED. Jesus said if you confess HIM before men, HE will confess you. That's it. No accepting of Jesus in your heart, no repenting of sin (even that usually comes after a confession from your mouth) (repenting is not salvation).to accomplish salvation .. Jesus made it very simple. His blood also covers the sin of disobedience AFTER we are saved; too many ignorant ones continue in sin, b/c of erroneous teachings they receive from the harlot church.
