  • wow this one is completely different from the HO unit, this one is correct with the paint, the HO one looks gray and the logo is royally FUBAR'd

  • The MTH HO version?

  • is it possible to find one in n scale?

  • MTH doesn't make N scale trains. But I think Atlas has an N scale version.

  • do you like this one or the rio grande model diesel train

  • I like them both.

  • Not to be critical or anything but, trainmasterryan, that is an SD70M-2. The railroad that received SD70M-2's were NS and CN. The railroads that received SD70ACe's were UP, CSX, BNSF, and KCS. Nice engine btw.

  • Man i hate you! You have a model of the best diesel-electric locomotive ever built! :D

  • Can you pull more cars with this engine or your NS AC6000?

  • i have a ho scale one of these but it looks completly different then mine but i have a small train set and i've had it for 8 years and the motor mount is comepletly off but i put the motor back together and put tape around it and it worked but its noisy so i may have to get a new motor mount for it

  • kato makes one.

  • NS bought the DC version. They have SD70M-2s. Same goes for CN. If ATSF were around they would have the M-2 too. They bought SD75s instead of SD70MACs

  • These were frequently used for power during 2007 and 2008 on the CN's GTW mainline. Now that there is less traffic in 2009 the NS SD70M-2s are not too frequent on the CN.
