Old/Rare 8mm footage of 5th generation Master Kwong Man Fong performing "Sup Baat Mor Kiu" ('Eighteen Devil's Bridges' or better known as '18 Ghost Hands'). This footage was taken in the mid 1970s, NYC.
This is one of Pak Mei Kung Fu's highest forms, equal to "Mung Fu Chut Lum" (Fierce Tiger Descending from Forest).

  • Re: the speed. This is old footage from the 70's that's been damaged over the years (decades). We decided to just leave it at the speed of the video in its current state as opposed to approximating. That's why we also put it in slow-mo. Thank you guys for taking the time to watch and analyze. -mm

  • Jeung Lai Cheun never taught "十八魔橋 18 Devil's Bridge", he taught "十八摩橋 18 Sensing Bridge". The form demonstrated in this clip is 十八摩橋 18 Sensing Bridge, where as 十八魔橋 18 Devil's Bridge as I was told is practiced by the Foshan Bai Mei sect.

  • Dead style

  • Great!

  • @mrbobwong1001 - from what I know of the footage the speed of the vid was NOT cranked up. You can tell by :

    1. the movement of the person in the background is normal

    2. movement of people in the audience does not appear to be sped up.

There is a appearance of "distortion" mainly cause the poor quality of the 8mm footage and the age of the video itself (over 35 yrs old)

  • From this video I can see the circles on tui bo are larger than ours and he tui bo from side posture oppose to facing front. Application of his duk seh tim lei combined with bik bo is also different. Although I am still young, I dare to speak because I dare to learn if there is some actual new value, that is. It doesn't matter what line you come from or what generation. It's whether it is applicable and efficient and whether you can back it up. Master KMF has his distinct way as many other CLC

  • @hulkmofo Should add, at his prime. He is older like all remaining great Sifu's of his generation. The sense of distance and reaction time can not be sustained without constant sparring practices. He is still make a great coach. One person does not represent PM, win or lose. It has its strong points but one could never say one style is better than another. PM has no take downs. Kicks are effective but not elaborate. BTW I am PM 6th gen, and that is why I dare to criticize other PM guys.

  • Greatly impressive, even with the speed cranked up several fold. Would be even more impressive if the film is shown at the real speed. We would appreciate his force even better. You do not have too many of these real Pak Mei Sifu's around.
