SWARMUSIC II performance art at Autumn Lights Festival

SWARMUSIC II was a multi media performance by Treiops Treyfid performed at the Autumn Lights Festival. The festival was on the night of Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Pershing Square in downtown Los Angeles. There were 6 participants all wearing jackets with fluorescent designs. Each performer also had a UV flashlight that was shone on one of the jackets determined by a soundtrack played from portable amplifiers. This is the first time I have used blacklight in a performance art piece.

Andrea Morgenstern, Katrina Miller, Treiops Treyfid, Christopher Nelson, Andy Hermann, Laura Recchi.

Artist Statement
Treiops Treyfid's conceptually-based work is defined by relationships between humans, materials, and hence, our environment and the ways in which we live. A majority of his current work involves sculpture, installation, mixed media series, and more recently new media performances. Treyfid's body of work dating from the early '90s to now, can best be described as multi-media in the sense that he incorporates all genre from painting to sound. He has been focusing is work as a performance artist most recently.
