City Government demands all keys to properties belonging to Cedar Falls residents

Government does not tell the people what is in their best interest, people tell the government what is in their best interest.

Ordinance #2740( An unfunded city-wide mandate) was passed with a resounding 6 to 1 vote, and it allows for the citizens of Cedar Falls, Iowa to forcefully give the government keys to their comercial properties through universal 'lock boxes'. The intent of the program is to provide increased safety and protection to personal, private property which include businesses, apartments and some rental houses-- which by the way-- comes at the expense of furthering wayward erosion of fundamental constitutional rights.

You might want to send a fax to the Cedar Falls City Council and let them know what you think of their statist plan to have access to private property in the name of 'protecting citizens'.

Letting everyone carry their guns, resorting to full-blown RIOTS, because the Governmental Agencies of Individual Cities have keys(or whatever is next Big Government ideal) to their properties, be good for humanity? The business owners should gather and go straight to city hall and tell them that they're moving their businesses out of town and into the next.

All business owners should refuse the order- they can't fight the numbers and thus reverse the law (law?) Two- change the locks after giving up the keys. Is this a law or rule..? A rule is not enforceable by law punishment and hasn't the backbone. A law is different as it must pass legally and not by a city. The best is for business owners to close their business' (severely damaging the city) until the rule is reversed- the power is still in the people. I for one would not comply!
