Actually there is another version of it. This is what came out on the CD but there is also her first take on it. It has not been put on any CD's yet but it could possibly come out. Yes, it is rare but maybe because I listen to it all the time its not so rare to me. Anyway, if I can find her first take on this song i'll send it to you.

Oh right. Wow you're actually ok. I saw an alternate take version listed on an 3 cd album [think it was "Janis" again its an awesome record] but I haven't heard it, that would be awesome if you could send it. ^__^

Hmm you again you seem to be stalking my videos and comments. Your screenname is pretty accurate then huh.

Why I'd say its rare? The first time it was relased was on the album "Farewell Song" in 1983 and since it wasn't relased during or in her lifetime albums I'd say that makes it rare. Also you try finding a live performance of it, it wasn't a song she regularly perforrmed.

Its available on the internet on a cd called "Farewell Song" but you can go on Last FM (site) search Janis and its on a few of the albums on there too - one called "Janis" has loads of rare songs.

@musicfreak84 If you have never heard "Stay With Me Baby" it is a must. You can't find it on YouTube so you must Google it. There are 2 versions. One will be labeled as the alternate version and it is one of my favorites. It is bootleg. Only the hard core Joplin fans will probably ever hear it. YOUR WELCOME
