I finally got a good take of this piece and it turned out the video wasn't in focus. Curses! I was out of time so I decided to go with it anyway and give it an old look.

I'm starting to learn pieces by Andrew York and this is the first. I'd love to hear feedback on this. I've been playing for 3.5 years now and I hope it seems like I'm making progress.

  • Nice job, Eric. Just beautiful. I studied guitar with Andrew York when I was just a kid in high school. His playing was/is very inspirational. Hadn't thought about trying arrangements on the Stick but may have to give it a try!

  • @dfank295 Thanks! I'm playing an SG12 tuned in mirrored 4ths. Every classical guitar piece I've tried works beautifully in that tuning and scale. It's extremely cool that you studied with Andrew York. I almost met him once up at Interlochen, but I was too chicken to bother him. Turns out he's a Mac coder too and we might have had a nice chat. I really appreciate the nice comments. I don't get to play as much as I want to and comments like that will keep me going for a long time.

  • Eric - That was really wonderful! I could listen to that all day long.

  • @markdotnet Thanks, Mark! I'm really enjoying music more this time around.

  • This sounds pretty cool and the video quality isn't all that bad. It looks like you doubled up the last few seconds though. Definitely cool. By the way, gotta love the WWDC jacket.

  • @wjlafrance Thanks, the weird ending is not on the video that I uploaded. I have no idea how that happened and you can't replace the video with the correct one without losing all existing comments.
