@903harman When a business leases these lines for bandwidth, they are guaranteed 99.9% uptime as well as a retained speed level in data transmissions. This is necessary for many applications in the business world. Companies pay for this reliability. They do not share traffic over a subscribed line as consumers do either which gives added security.

@pmgodfrey how come i have 11mbps and it only cost around 50$ a month...so mine would be like a T-7... even basic dsl line is a 1.5mbps... around 20$

Research? I've done it several times. It depended on what my clients back then wanted for their networks.
I found a more profitable industry than what the top paying positions in IT offer twenty times over. I sold my company and started a different one.
