For the latest installment of our review exchange programme, Alan looks at cult horror flick "Session 9" while Mike waxes lyrical about Miyazaki fantasy "Castle in the Sky". A more in-depth, extended discussion of these two films can also be found in audio-only podcast form at areashiftybun.com

  • I like the addition of stills from the films. I think this is the first time you've done that in DF. The sudden cuts are disconcerting. What about (uninformed opinion approaching) combining those 2 things? When you have to make a cut, cover it with a still. Otherwise, you look like you're doing a "Jumper" impression. :)

Good job, guys. 2 more adds for my "watch for" list.

  • @PhiloYT1 I'm afraid the horrible truth is that those stills actually are hiding some rather dodgy cuts already... Should be smoother next time though. It keeps making me think of this - youtube.com/watch?v=bThouBcsMO4

  • Random Shatner moment from me at 5:18 must have been a nightmare to edit Alan as we talked for about an hour lol.

  • @HorrorOfMike Actually it wasn't too bad - this one came together a lot quicker than the last one, although there are a few 'interesting' edits going on...

  • 5:00 Thats a very risky transition. But i like it

  • @calreid The terrible secret is that this conversation never even took place - it was crafted entirely in post...

  • YAYYYYYY!!!!!! Another fan of Disney's dub of LAPUTA! This is one of my favorite films, and I've always loved this dub. Hamill was especially awesome as Colonel Muska.

  • I actually really liked that movie. I saw it on Sci-Fi (so it was probably censored and cut to shit) but it was good.
