IED in Mosul

Conducting an early morning presence patrol in east Mosul. The blast hit the back right of the vehicle. Aside from a few ringing ears, no one was hurt in the blast.

My unit patroled the entire east side from '04-'05. I'm trying to remember route names. That looked like east on Isuzu and north on Buick. Am I even close?

Glad you made it BTW. We took many hits from IED's, car bombs and gun fire.

What the hell? the insurgency isnt a resistance movement. its funded by powerhungry warlords and the like. thats why they are content with attrition rather than territory accuisition when fighting co-alition forces. why do people think it is. and why are they flaming at you, even though there problem is blatantly with the cause of the conflict and not how its being resolved.
