I feel the best way for men to be fathers is hire a womb in third countries. There is no use investing your sperms in these first world ladies. That method has been obsolete for decades. The criteria now is brain death, defined as necrosis of cerebral neurons. The fetus doesn't even begin to develop a cerebral cortex until week 26. and the cerebral nerves do not begin to develop until week 28. The vast majority of abortions are performed before week 12.
