I can relate! I started having them after my surgery.. 45 years of never having a panic or anxiety attack & all of a sudden.. Boom! I was hit & hit hard. The first one is the scariest. I really thought I was going to die. I never thought I was scared to die but the thought of leaving my 2 young girls alone in this world.. made the attack worse. I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. Hope you don't have another one Mel. I have Xanax on hand if mine return.
I would have to agree. I suffer from them. It feels like you are dying. seriously.. the walls closing in heart or chest hurts. and thoughts rushes through you head. It is horrible I have suffered from them for most of my life.
My husband and I both take zoloft for depression and anxiety. My husband has gone to the hospital for panic attack, cuz he thought he was having a heart attack. The physical symptoms can be that bad.
Hello Mel, I know the feeling...the sweating and the feeling of "dread"....Paxil works wonders...What is really interesting the trigger that causes them can be a silly little thought that really ends up being nothing...regards...
Very true. You are also very intelligent.

I know it's starting when I get that cold that goes quickly from my head to toes and thankfully it doesn't usually last long.
