to all those saying they can type faster than this on an iphone, i can too. however, i can type even faster than that on my droid with swype. if you look carefully at the left screen, the person using swype is about as slow as the iphone user. swype makes typing more efficient, not magically faster.

That is just not true. I've been using Swype since the original beta version and it has always been the best typing method I've ever used for a touchscreen phone and is very easy to customize as it learns your typing and word use very quickly.. The new version is the best yet and has greatly simplified word addition.

Swype is so awful. I've used it for three months and finally downloaded Swift Key X, which is amazing. Swype has no technology to look at your writing pattern and constantly made mistakes. I always got the wrong your/you're or too/to. It always confused out/put/our/it. It was just a disaster and not customizable at all. Swift Key X knows exactly what I want to say, even when I'm only at like 25% accuracy and being super-sloppy. It has tons of custom features. Ditch Swype. Loving Swift Key X.

Swype is perhaps faster than the iphone to write, but we can not compare the efficiency of the iphone applications. Iphone is 10 times better. Nothing can compare.
