great time period.. i made the biggest mistake of trying to live it.. LSD tripping in Haight district and golden gat park is NOT a good idea. too many crazy homeless, and assholes. not a good experience lol... so for those of you that are just dying to visit haight district in SF.. its not the same, its all commercial and its like one big looney bin... for us youngins that wanted to live it.. we were just born in the wrong time period :/

Today we have a silencious revolution on web . But the american politicians want a law call SOPA .. take care with it ... get down with this Law ... save our freedom on web ... Now our revolution is on line .... Our freedom forever ... fuck the politicals laws.... Ps excuse me my ENGLISH ,im brazilian and dont speak english well.
The Hippies and all the other movements of those times were not naive. I lived through it. They did change the world. Maybe not as much as they would have liked to but they achieved many fantastic goals. One of which was to end the war in Vietnam. If it weren't for the Peace movement the war would have gone on much longer. The 60's changed many things in our culture, music, peotry, art, afety awareness, economic awareness, US Foreign Policy awareness and more. You must to be Naive not see that!

whatever your view it was a milestone in recent social history.i was 15 or so at the time in london and there WAS a feeling of oneness among young people despite how it turned out.
