I keep hearing people say that the cleaner ones should start a shelter but i highly doubt financially thats possible for alot of these people. Plus say its caring or not its still a serious mental disease that has negative effects on both the animals and the hoarders familly.

My family used to have a heck of a lot of chihuahuas--crap everywhere (literally), emotions torn when deaths occured, everything was very unhygienic. Maybe they contributed to my parent's divorce. If you're in this situation, I say to you, having been there: Get out. Put family first; not animals. Syndy is 100% correct.
