My attempt at Sideways by Citizen Cope. I think the song sounds best with a capo on the 2nd fret, tabs below are relative to the capo and should be read Low E to High E from left to right. Hope this helps.

I actually just mute it with my left hand by keeping my fingers on the strings but not pressing down onto the fretboard. Try lightly barring the strings if needed, all it takes is a light touch on the strings. Hope this helps...

You do this really well but I miss the end note on the "away", thru the song. It would make a big difference. You control the whisper in your voice really well. I think it's a good interpretation of the natural angst & cry in CG's voice. It ain't easy.
