You start on the outside but that doesnt always fix the problem. Depends on the situation. Water can fill up in the block and seep through. These systems are bulletproof if done right. I definitely would not use the pipe and material they were using. Black flex pipe with a sock and 2B stone with a plastic vapor barrier and youll be good to go. Place your pipe along the footer pitched towards the sump pit.

they are doing the whole floor,plus the drainage system. if you have an existing floor and want to just do the drain system just do the outer edge of your cellar floor.

@bigjim10011 Normally we only do the outer edges but the whole floor was severly in need replacement.
