  • I spoke with her today she is a lovely woman :) x

  • Jascha Heifetz had two ex-wives and three kids that hated his guts.

  • THANK YOU so very much for doing this interview and posting it. Ida is legendary - she was one of the greatest and I'm glad she is still performing. She was one of the first female violinists to record classical violin music. Check out her early recordings, they are fantastic. And wow, she's still playing Zigeuenerweisen well at age 82 (although some sources say she's older!)

  • cheers!

  • Wow, I love this discussion, its absolutely amazing! Such a wealth of information from this first part! I love hearing both Ida Haendel and Giselle Brodsky... I wish my own violin and piano teachers were so insightful- about being critical of one's own playing. If I had watched this 10 years ago I would be a completely different musician over night! Who would be a better source of info. than Ms. Haendel, shes one of the hardest working musicians of all time!
