This song is a standard that goes beyond any one artists interpretaion. But honestly all credit needs to go to Bob Dylan.

Dylan wrote the chorus and chords. Ketch Secor wrote the rest of the lyrics. Dylan himself credited the phrase "mama rock me" to Big Boy Crudup, who may have gotten it from someone else. It's a song that took 80+ years to develop, and is a classic! Without Dylan, it wouldn't have happened, but without Secor it might not have been discovered and refined to what it is now. You really have to credit three and perhaps four people with writing the song. Copyright is 50/50 between Dylan and Secor.

I thought it was cool they did that together, and you guys really need to stop hating on Darius. Plus.. YES the credit does need to go to Bob Dylan not OCMS. nobody cares about the damn verses, its the hook n chorus. the part good ole Bob wrote. Both versions of the song are awesome. Get over it people.. OCMS version is good and Darius cover of it is awesome. We have white soul singer/rappers now and soon many black country artists. thats a good thing... people need to step outside their box.
