Jimmy Carter, is and was a buffoon. In 1977, the Department of Energy was created by Carter, and what was the purpose of the Department of Energy?? It was to end the US dependence on foreign sources of oil and transition us to renewable energy sources. What has happened to all the money that's been flushed down that hole over the last 33 years?? Department of Energy's budget for 2010 is $26.4 billion. And what do we have? We have Energy Star appliances and we got curlicue little light-bulbs.
